PART I

1) Search for "Malaria" in PubMED and IndMED and compare the retrieval [use IMC's MetaMED]

2) Look for information on "SARS" in the resources available over the Internet.

3) Search for information "Tuberculosis" in NLM's MEDLINEplus.

4) Use the appropriate BOOLEAN operators AND, NOT, OR in PubMED to search for following:

   a) Liver Diseases in Children
   b) Kidney Disease, excluding references with Renal Failure
   c) Lymph Node Disease along with Lung Cancer
   d) Liver Diseases in Children, excluding reference of this disease in Adults

5) Using GOOGLE search find information on Lymph Node Diseases specifically in children.

6) Look up the Biomedical/Health resources listed in the GOOGLE and YAHOO Directories - International as well as Asian.

7) Search for the Indian Heart Journal in Union Catalogue of Biomedical Periodicals.

8) Limit the above search to location of journal in libraries in Delhi.

9) Look up the holdings of National Medical Library (NML), New Delhi.

10) Limit the above to details of the availability of British Medical Journal at NML.

11)  Search for libraries available in Karnataka.

12) Browse through the contents of journals available in medIND database.

13) Search for any topic of your interest in IndMED and see if full-text of the references is available in medIND.

14) Search for articles on malaria, tuberculosis, community medicine  using IMC's databases.

15) The Union Catalogue of Biomedical Periodicals is a holdings database of how many medical libraries.

16) IndMED is a full-text or a bibliographic database?
